PHILANTHROPY
The Summit Wealth Management/B.R. Chamberlain Foundation for Public Enrichment is our public charitable foundation arm
with the mission of both encouraging charitable works, as well as providing an outlet for monetary donations. Understanding
that many clients wish to donate to charitable organizations, the Chamberlain Endowment Program gives individual or corporate
donor advised accounts the opportunity to make tax-exempt gifts. Donor-clients participating in the program may recommend grants
to their favorite charities or to a general field of endeavor, such as education or public health.
History & Projects
Founded in 1994 through generous endowments by the Chamberlain family and friends, the Foundation serves as a clearinghouse to
receive, maintain, and administer funding for projects that will result in educational or social enrichment for both non-profit and
faith-based organizations. Our expertise in the field also allows us to provide valuable tax advice and investment management to these admirable
organizations. After extensive research, the Chamberlain Foundation bi-annually awards need-based scholarships and grants to deserving
individuals and organizations, frequently serving groups that receive no governmental or outside funding. The Foundation regularly contributes
large donations to organizations that provide such necessary services as after-school care for working families, educational programs to terminally
ill children, and free eyeglasses to families without health insurance. In 2004 alone, the Foundation awarded over $1 million in need-based grants.
Working in tandem with established and reputable charitable organizations, the Chamberlain Foundation is able to provide a broader spectrum of charitable support.
